LawnSignals Privacy Policy

The short version

• We use your account and lawn information to build your plan, match it to local conditions, keep your history, deliver reminders, and provide support.
• We do not sell personal information, run third-party ads, or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Assistant questions and lawn photos are processed only when you choose those features. You can purge stored lawn data or close your account from Account Settings.

Information you provide

Account information includes your name, email address, sign-in details, account settings, and support communications.

Lawn and property information can include an address or location, coordinates, property and zone names, lawn size and type, irrigation details, goals, soil tests, sensor readings, applications, observations, costs, notes, and custom care tasks.

When you choose assistant or photo features, we process the question, attached lawn photo, and relevant lawn context needed to answer it. If you connect a separate AI account, we also store the connection settings and encrypted credential needed to use it.

If you subscribe, we receive purchase and entitlement information such as the plan, transaction identifier, status, and renewal or expiration date. The app marketplace handles payment-card and bank details; LawnSignals does not receive them.

Information collected through use

We collect account, session, installation, device, and push-notification identifiers needed for sign-in, security, and notification delivery. Security and operational records may include an IP address, request time, and error or delivery details.

Product interaction events can record app opens, onboarding progress, feature use, recommendation and notification interactions, and subscription-funnel steps. These events help us understand whether the product works and where it needs improvement; they are not used for advertising.

The public guide library keeps aggregate page-view and referral-category counts. It does not use advertising cookies or store a visitor's IP address or full referring URL for those counts.

Location, photos, and notifications

Location is used to retrieve weather, estimate seasonal timing, and tailor lawn-care windows. You can enter a location yourself or allow a supported app to use device location. You control device location, camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in your device settings.

A photo is uploaded only when you attach or capture it for an assistant request. Normal assistant prompts and photos are not saved in LawnSignals lawn-history records. If you intentionally report an answer to support, the reported content and supplied context are retained with that support request.

How we use information

• Provide and personalize lawn plans, weather timing, history, assistant features, and reminders.
• Create and secure accounts, verify access, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot reliability.
• Process subscription status, enforce plan limits, and provide billing support.
• Respond to questions and feedback, measure product use, and improve LawnSignals.
• Meet legal obligations and protect users, LawnSignals, and the public when reasonably necessary.

AI-assisted features

When you use an assistant or photo feature, the question, photo, and limited lawn and regional context are sent to an AI processing service. For the managed assistant, request content is not used to train the processor's general models by default, and LawnSignals does not opt in to that use. We also disable separate application-state storage where the service supports that control.

An AI processor may temporarily retain request content for security or abuse monitoring under its own data terms. If you connect a separate AI account, your content is processed through that account and is also subject to the terms and settings you chose for it.

When information is shared

We share information with service providers only as needed for hosting, databases, weather, location lookup, email, push notifications, subscriptions, support, analytics, security, and AI-assisted features. We require providers to use the information for the contracted service and protect it consistently with this policy.

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. If ownership changes, this policy continues to apply unless you are notified otherwise.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and lawn records while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Account Settings lets you purge server-side lawn data while keeping the login account, or close the account and remove its active server-side data.

Some purchase, security, service-integrity, dispute, and backup records may remain for a limited period when reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, recovery, or legal obligations. Information handled by an external service follows that service's applicable retention terms. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can review and update lawn information and many account settings in the app. You can also change device permissions, turn off notifications, purge lawn data, or close your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal a denied request. LawnSignals will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. Email support@lawnsignals.autokinetic.io from your verified account address so we can confirm and respond to your request.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a unique password and tell us if you suspect unauthorized account access.

Children's privacy

LawnSignals is a general-audience service for people managing a home or property and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

Processing locations

LawnSignals and its service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Privacy protections may differ across jurisdictions, but the commitments in this policy continue to apply to LawnSignals.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as LawnSignals changes. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice in the app or by email when a change materially affects your choices.
